The Role

As an Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of our Naval Nuclear Submarine Support Engineering team, providing essential administrative and project support that keeps critical defence operations running smoothly. This is more than just an admin role – it’s an opportunity to contribute to projects that protect national security and shape the future of engineering. You’ll gain exposure to senior stakeholders, develop your organisational expertise, and grow your career in a dynamic and meaningful environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll work with various senior stakeholders to Director level and their teams to provide admin, secretarial support and document control. Some of the key tasks will include:

  • Manage shared mailboxes and action travel and visitor requests
  • Support Directors with diary management and travel arrangements
  • Organise and assist with away days and conferences across multiple locations
  • Prepare project information packs and documentation for Engineering teams
  • Provide general administrative and secretarial support to senior stakeholders

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based onsite at Babcock Technology Centre.

Essential Experience of the Administrator

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced administration environment
  • Strong knowledge of office procedures and systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications for the Administrator

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Business Administration or equivalent

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
