Lead Security Strategy for a National Defence Programme
At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Security Manager within Mission Systems at our Ashton House, Hawthorn or Oakhanger sites.
The Role
As a Security Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a high-impact role where your leadership will drive strategic security decisions and foster a culture of safety and resilience. Day-to-day, you’ll be the Head of Security for our SATCOM Program, delivering high-level governance across physical, personal, technological, and information security. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including senior customers, to implement and manage security measures that mitigate risks and protect Babcock and customer assets.
Essential experience of the Security Manager Mission Systems:
- Proven leadership in defence or government security environments.
- Strong background in security risk management and mitigation techniques.
- Experience designing NPSA-compliant solutions using OR model and STaMP process.
- In-depth knowledge of GovS, JSP, and ISO.
- Practical understanding of GDPR compliance and data protection.
Qualifications for the Security Manager Mission Systems:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent commercial experience in a related subject.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
