Support Critical RAF Operations with Engineering Skill and Precision. At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as a Mechanical Technician at RAF Cosford, near Wolverhampton, Shropshire.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment (ASE and Green Fleet vehicles)
- Undertake mechanical component replacements across the ASE fleet
- Support contracted Mechanical Transport and ASE tasks to meet operational requirements
- Maintain equipment such as arrester barriers, trestles, jacks, power units, hydraulic rigs and racking systems
- Work collaboratively with site teams across RAF Cosford and RAF Shawbury to maintain safe and effective operations
Essential Experience:
- Heavy Goods or Light Vehicle experience (desirable)
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant subject.
