Care Assistant (Complex Care Support Worker)
BSL Care has provided support to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs for over 30 years. As a family-run organisation, we are proud of our strong record in delivering high-quality care and support.
We are currently seeking Care Assistants to support individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism, some of whom may present with challenging behaviours. Applicants should hold a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care and have relevant experience working with adults in similar settings.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for those with a genuine commitment to supporting others, strong communication skills, and a passion for professional growth in social care.
Responsibilities:
- Promote the independence and choice of the people we support
- Always consider the least restrictive practices
- Support people with personal care when needed
- Support people meet their nutritional needs
- Help people to understand their care plans and the care they will receive.
- Work with managers and respond to feedback
- Talk with people we support and their families in a caring positive manner
- Be aware of peoples right to privacy
