We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Event Intern to support the planning and delivery of our catering events—from private dinners and weddings to corporate functions and on-site pop-ups. Working closely with the Event & Operations team, you will help coordinate event details, support client communication, and assist with on-the-day delivery to ensure smooth, memorable experiences for our guests.
This role is ideal for someone at an early stage of their events or hospitality career who is eager to learn, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in being part of a team that delivers exceptional service.
Responsibilities- Support the coordination of events from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up.
- Assist with client communication, helping to gather event details and update plans as needed.
- Help coordinate catering logistics including menus, dietary requirements, equipment hire, transport, and schedules.
- Prepare event documents such as run sheets, checklists, and timelines under guidance from senior team members.
- Liaise with venues, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all event details are confirmed.
- Assist with on-the-day event setup, service coordination, and pack-down to ensure smooth delivery.
- Support event teams on site, including chefs and front-of-house staff.
- Help identify opportunities to enhance guest experience (e.g. menu add-ons or upgrades) and flag these to senior team members.
- Troubleshoot minor issues on event days, escalating where needed.
- Maintain accurate records within event planning tools or CRM systems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest or some experience in hospitality, catering, events, restaurants, hotels, or venue operations (preferred but not essential).
- Friendly, professional communication style with confidence interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to stay calm and positive in busy, fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support the wider team.
- Comfortable using basic event planning tools, spreadsheets, or CRM systems (training provided).
- A positive, can-do attitude and genuine enthusiasm for events and guest experience.
