Baa Bar Group is a long-established leader in the Northern hospitality industry, with venues that are considered institutions in Liverpool’s bar and clubbing scene. The group operates five bars and restaurants across Liverpool, including Baa Bar, Deluca's and Frederiks, all in central, high-footfall locations. Its sites draw both local regulars and visitors from outside the city, contributing significantly to the regional visitor economy.

Baa Bar Group is looking for an exceptional People & Culture professional to build and lead our first dedicated People function. This is a rare opportunity to join a thriving, independent hospitality business that includes Baa Bar, Frederiks and DeLuca's. We're growing, investing in our people and creating the leadership, culture and systems that will support the next stage of our journey. This isn't about fixing a broken culture. It's about building on a strong one.

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Develop a practical People Strategy that supports business growth.
  • Grow and retain great talent whilst attracting exceptional new people.
  • Coach and develop managers to become confident leaders.
  • Create meaningful employee engagement, recognition and career development.
  • Ensure HR compliance and best practice across the group.
  • Build a culture where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

You’ll probably have experience as a Senior HR Manager, HR Business Partner or People & Culture Lead, with excellent knowledge of UK employment law and a passion for developing people. Hospitality or multi-site experience would be an advantage, but above all, we’re looking for someone who is commercial, pragmatic, people-focused and able to make a real impact in a growing business.

The Role:

  • Part-time – 2 - 3 days per week
  • Liverpool-based across our venues, with flexibility for remote project work
  • Employed or self-employed/consultant arrangements considered
  • £50,000 PA pro-rata

If you’re excited by the opportunity to build something meaningful and leave a lasting legacy in a successful, ambitious hospitality business, we’d love to hear from you.
