Hours:

  • Full-time, 12-hour shifts 06:30–18:30 (mixture of days and nights)
  • 4-weekly rotating pattern averaging 42 hours per week
  • Pattern: 2 days on / 2 off / 3 nights on / 2 off / 2 days on / 3 off / 2 nights on / 2 off / 3 days on / 2 off / 2 nights on / 3 off — then repeats

The role of Machine Operator:

  • Run packaging machinery in compliance with working instructions and safety guidelines
  • Run the roll pack bundler machine
  • Change polyethylene reels and optional materials, or feed the machine with skillets or cases
  • Run the log saw if required
  • Stop and restart machinery when needed
  • Check compliance between product and related data sheet
  • Draft the data sheet regarding production control
  • Small maintenance activities and adjustments
  • Manage machinery changeovers
  • Support colleagues and oversee end-line process when required
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping and health and safety throughout the shift

The ideal Machine Operator:

  • Previous experience in a production or operator role, ideally from a heavy industry background
  • Motivated and committed, keen to progress within manufacturing
  • Own transport desirable due to location
