The role of the Summer Playscheme Worker:
- Organising, supervising and leading structured play activities both on-site and off-site
- Preparing and setting up materials and resources for daily activities
- Supporting volunteers and staff to help broaden and develop the playscheme programme
- Applying best practice in line with the Playwork Code of Practice
- Adhering to Child Protection policies and procedures at all times
- Implementing all required health and safety procedures
- Participating in monitoring, evaluation and feedback processes
- Assisting with administrative and financial tasks related to the playscheme when required
The ideal Summer Playscheme Worker:
- At least one year's relevant experience in direct supervision of children or young people, planning and delivering activities, and working in a community or youth setting
Additional context: Based at Community Centres across Belfast including Olympia, Ardoyne, Cregagh Youth, Tallycarnet, Clonduff, Braniel and Knockagoney.
