The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and supportive Principal Fibre Engineer to help lead and grow B4RN’s Fibre to the Home network. You’ll play a key role in shaping how our network is deployed, optimised and maintained, while mentoring and guiding our engineering team. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop and maintain standards, best practices and procedures to keep the network running smoothly.
  • Solve complex network challenges, identify root causes and implement lasting improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to plan network expansions, upgrades and projects.
  • Participate in our 24/7 operations via an on-call rota to address critical network issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of network changes, configurations and issues.

What We’re Looking For:

What You Will Get From Us:

  • An active, outdoor role that provides variety and rewarding experiences every day.

  • 28 days holiday per year plus an extra day for each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 extra days).

  • Medicash health care plan to support your health and well-being.
  • A welcoming, collaborative team environment where your ideas are valued.
  • The satisfaction of knowing your work helps connect rural communities to vital digital services.
  • Opportunities for professional development and learning to grow your skills further.
