About the Warehouse Manager job

The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for overseeing the night warehouse operation, managing team performance, planning resources, maintaining service levels, and ensuring effective communication across departments and shifts.

  • Key tasks
  • Lead and develop the warehouse team, setting clear expectations, managing performance, providing coaching and support ongoing training to ensure the team remains engaged, productive and capable of meeting operational demands.
  • Plan labour and resources effectively, coordinating warehouse activities and ensuring customer orders are picked, loaded and dispatched accurately and on time.

Proactively identify challenges, maintain productivity and keep the warehouse organised, safe, and prepared for future shifts.

  • Work closely with other departments, ensure clear communication across shifts and provide effective handovers to support operational continuity.

Support stock accuracy through regular checks, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing errors and improving efficiency.

About You

  • The successful candidate shall have previous warehouse experience within a leadership role, ideally in the foodservice, wholesale or FMCG industry.
  • A full UK driver’s license is required; a current forklift certification would be advantageous.

The working hours are Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday.

Typical working hours will be between 6:00pm and 2:00am and 10:00pm and 6:00am, with flexibility required to provide visibility across the full operation.
