You will be working for a well-established and highly respected manufacturer of high-quality, speciality products. The company has a strong zero food waste ethos and pride themselves on the use of organic and sustainable ingredients and products.
The purpose of your role will be to manage all ingredient and packaging purchases, along with daily stock control. Work closely with Production and Technical teams to ensure the best value, quality, and compliance from all suppliers whilst supporting process improvements in stock management and traceability.
Key tasks- Manage inbound stock portfolio, including all ingredients and packaging purchasing.
- Oversee day-to-day stock management and maintain accurate records.
- Build and manage supplier relationships, ensuring best price, quality, and compliance.
- Work on process improvements, including stock management and traceability systems.
- Liaise with finance and group head office on month-end reporting and stock-takes.
- Ensure clear communication with production, packing, and warehousing teams.
- A proven background in purchasing and stock control.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with inventory management systems.
- Excellent numeracy and attention to detail.
- A proactive team player with good communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and health & safety requirements.
