About the National Account Manager job
The purpose of your role will be to manage several customer accounts within the Commercial Team. The role includes overseeing a main account alongside developing smaller growth accounts, collaborating with marketing to drive brand visibility and align promotions, and working with Product Development and Quality teams to manage own-label products. We are looking to fill this role quickly to support the needs of the business.
Key tasks
- Work closely with customers to agree and deliver annual business plans whilst building strong and trusted relationships with key contacts and grow your network.
- Deliver effective trade marketing campaigns and increase brand visibility within customer accounts.
- Manage own-label products by using strong commercial knowledge and attention to detail.
- Analyse sales and customer data to track performance, review promotions, and improve product margins.
- Manage account budgets and profit and loss performance and proactively identify developing new business opportunities to support long-term growth and create accurate sales forecasts and reports.
About You
The successful candidate shall have at least 5 years’ experience within FMCG account management, this experience is essential. Experience within the grocery sector would be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and confident in developing new business opportunities. They should be a quick learner with a positive, can-do attitude and strong communication skills. Applicants should also have excellent analytical and numerical abilities, strong attention to detail, and the ability to be credible, persuasive, and determined in a commercial environment. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, are also required.
Compensation and benefits
The National Account Manager job (ref:9058) is paying £45,000 - £60,000 DOE plus up to 10% discretionary annual performance bonus based on delivery on KPIs.
Work arrangement
This is a hybrid role working from home Monday and Friday, then Wednesday to Thursday on site - you will therefore need to be commutable to North West London.
