The purpose of your role will be to manage projects successfully, ensuring all project requirements are met. This role involves managing a team of 4 Technologists in order to deliver cutting-edge solutions to enhance the company’s product portfolio and overall customer experience.
Key tasks- Lead the team in developing and innovating new products and processes, managing projects from concept to launch, while ensuring accurate costings and alignment with business procedures.
- Manage project development and product launches to ensure timely and cost-effective launches.
- Anticipate, assess, and manage risks related to timing, quality, and cost of EPD and NPD projects.
- Clearly communicate ideas, proposals, and product benefits to customers and internal stakeholders, acting as a source of expert advice on trends and market initiatives.
- Monitor progress, troubleshoot challenges, plan and organise resources, including team personnel, to ensure timely delivery of all projects.
- Monitor and benchmark product quality, driving continuous improvement and supporting the business in maintaining exceptional standards across all projects.
About You
- Degree in Food Science as well as extensive NPD project management experience, at a senior level.
- Strong understanding and experience with the Stage and Gate process, food process mapping, and experience within a development role.
- A nutritional background or keen interest in nutrition would be beneficial.
- A solid understanding of Food Safety and Regulatory standards.
- Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and present data, with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, and ideally Microsoft Project Professional or similar project management software.
- Strong leadership skills to manage a small team, and drive product development using technical, sensory, and consumer insights as well as the ability to independently and collaboratively drive projects to completion through effective delegation and personal initiative.
