Food Technologist

About the Food Technologist job

The purpose of your role will be to take responsibility for the daily technical management of customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met while maintaining high quality standards. Support internal teams to provide excellent service, build strong customer relationships, and drive technical improvements, all while ensuring food safety and product quality are maintained.

Key tasks

  • Oversee product development from listing to post-launch, ensuring products meet quality and specification standards.
  • Track and manage customers’ technical and ethical requirements, keeping websites and specifications up to date. Prepare and send required documents and reports, organise audits and visits and attend customer meetings.
  • For branded products, manage NPD documentation, review artworks for UK compliance, and ensure products meet quality, safety, and legal standards.
  • Handle customer complaints for assigned accounts by logging, investigating, responding, assigning responsibilities, and closing issues on time.

About You

  • The successful candidate shall possess a food science degree or related subject.
  • Experience with UK retailers and food services specifications systems is required.
  • A clean driver’s license and the ability to travel across the UK and European travel as and when required.

The Food Technologistjob (ref:9024) is paying£39,000according to your experience.

The package includes a bonus of up to 10%, based on both the achievement of personal (40%) and company (60%) objectives. Pension with 6% employer contributions, Private medical, Death in service, Income Protection, 26 days holiday and flexitime.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, standard office hours.

The site is in Surrey and is commutable from Crawley, Dorking, Redhill, Reigate, Croydon, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and surrounding towns.
