The purpose of the role is to lead raw material verification and recipe reviews, ensuring all products meet legal requirements and agreed specifications. It involves identifying and managing risks, applying HACCP principles, and ensuring the site remains fully prepared for audits.
Key tasks:
- Lead raw material verification and recipe/specification reviews to ensure all ingredients and products meet legal requirements, customer expectations, and agreed specifications, supporting safe and consistent production.
- Identify, assess, and manage food safety and quality risks by applying HACCP principles, ensuring appropriate controls are in place across materials and processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and systems, always ensuring full compliance and audit readiness in line with site and customer standards.
- Work closely with production, technical, and supply chain teams to resolve issues, support continuous improvement, and help with ongoing projects across the site.
About You:
The successful candidate shall have proven experience in the food manufacturing industry, supported by strong technical knowledge and a solid understanding of food safety. They shall have experience working with BRCGS standards and implementing systems, and ideally hold qualifications such as Lead Auditor, NEBOSH or IOSH, along with advanced HACCP and Food Hygiene certifications.

The Technical Coordinator (ref:9050) is paid £40,000 to £50,000 pro rata per annum according to experience. The contract term may be extended depending on business needs.
