About the Product Developer job
The purpose of your role will be to develop and launch innovative products for major UK retailers, from concept to market. Identify customer needs, shape product strategy, and coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions. Ideal for a proactive, detail‑oriented professional in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused food manufacturing environment.
Key tasks:
- Carry out all product development‑related tasks for customer accounts up to factory implementation and understand the product development guide and the parameters that need on products.
- Create recipes that taste great and are safe and stable.
- Build strong relationships with key customer accounts.
- Work cross‑functionally with the wider company to deliver new briefs including Technical, Commercial and Process teams.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of customer product ranges.
About You
The successful candidate should have NPD experience within food manufacturing environment. Awareness of current trends, food innovation and knowledge of flavours etc is essential. A forward thinker with a flair for creativity and innovation and a passion for food, and quality. Project management skills would be desirable. Drives and has own car – site is not easily accessible by public transport.
