The purpose of your role will be to take the lead on managing key customer relationships, pricing, and contracts to drive growth and profitability. You’ll work closely with retailers and internal teams to ensure our products meet market demand and deliver commercial success.
Key tasks:- Prepare and implement business plans for key customers in line with the company’s strategic priorities.
- Continually develop activity plans, including promotions, product ranges, and new product development, based on market knowledge, competitor activity, and analytics.
- Consistently maintain an understanding of the competitive market and customer strategies to help identify future sales opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, procurement, and production plans to align with budgets and customer demand whilst working closely with technical teams to ensure customer requirements are fully met.
- Maintain a personal development plan to gain a broad understanding of the company’s sustainability and varietal plans and collaborate with other departments to ensure planned strategies support customer sales.
- Plan visits to key clients to share business updates and insights, always acting as a link between the company and customers, helping maintain strong relationships and open communication.
The successful candidate shall have experience in managing major retailers with the ability to build and maintain excellent customer relationships. A deep understanding of sustainability, varietal development, and NPD is needed for the role as well as the ability to influence and sell to the needs of the proposed client. Brilliant organisational skills and a can-do attitude with the ability to think ‘on their feet’ always looking for the next commercial opportunity.
