About the Production Manager job
Reporting to Head of Operations, working within the production team to deliver high-quality products in a safe, efficient, and hygienic environment, ensuring customer requirements are met. Supporting the site team in achieving key Food Safety, Authenticity, and Quality objectives, while overseeing the production team to ensure smooth and seamless operations.
Key tasks:
- Make sure production runs on time, with minimal downtime, and all issues are recorded properly.
- Ensure all work follows SOPs, food safety, quality standards, and that machines, batch codes, and dates are correct.
- Keep the production area clean, safe, and hygienic at all times.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage staff to build a skilled, flexible, and motivated team.
- Update production plans, support daily operations, and help improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
About You
The successful candidate shall have the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. A very strong communicator at all levels both written and verbally. Training in Food Safety as well as Health and Safety would be advantageous.
