About the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer job
The purpose of your role will be to support engineering operations by coordinating with internal teams to install, test, operate, maintain, and repair all equipment and facilities at the company’s manufacturing site.
Key tasks:
- Perform maintenance and repair on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues across various systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Collaborate with other engineers to improve processes and systems.
- Document maintenance activities and upkeep compliance records.
About You:
The successful candidate shall have proven experience as an Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance or Multi-Skilled Engineer. A strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems. Demonstrable ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

The Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer job (ref:8991) is based in Wigan and is paying up to £45,000 (including shift premiums and overtime). The site is in Wigan, Greater Manchester and is commutable from Manchester, Bolton, Warrington, Preston, Ormskirk, St Helens, Chorley and Bury, along with other areas of Lancashire and Merseyside. The working hours are Monday to Friday, with a weekly rotation of 06:00am to 02:00pm, 02:00pm to 10:00pm and one in five weeks shall be 10:00pm to 06:00am where premium rates will apply. The package includes 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, Pension, Investment in People and Training, Referral Programme for successful employee referrals, Wellbeing and Engagement Programmes, Onsite Mental Health First Aiders, Employee Assistance Programme for yourself, your partner and any children in full-time education up to the age of 21, this includes counselling, Onsite Car Parking, Company Sickness Pay, Seasonal Flu Vouchers.
