About the Technical Assistant job
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Technical Assistant to help the Technical Department with food safety, quality checks, and supplier records. Reporting into the Technical Manager, you will help run internal audits, manage paperwork for suppliers and customers, and keep technical processes running smoothly to meet BRC and customer standards.
Key tasks
Carry out internal audits, address non-conformances, support food safety audits, and ensure proper documentation review.
Prepare and manage provisional product specifications with the NPD team and handle related customer and technical queries.
Maintain supplier approvals and documentation, review ingredient specs, and manage supplier issues.
Join technical meetings, help with Quality documentation, cover QA team when needed, and support general technical tasks.
About You
The successful candidate shall have a Degree in Food Science or related field; internal audit certification is a plus.
Background in food manufacturing, ideally with an understanding of food safety, BRC standards, and supplier approval processes.

The Technical Assistant job (ref:8912) is paying £28,000-£30,000 according to your experience.
The site is in North London and is commutable from Enfield, Ilford, Hackney, Waltham Cross and Potters Bar.
