The purpose of your role will be to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. They will focus on developing a skilled, multitalented team and driving performance while manufacturing safe, legal food and reducing non-conformities. You will aim to meet business KPIs related to customer service, product quality, yield, labour efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, emphasising continuous improvement.
Key tasks
- Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities while maintaining equipment and monitoring processes for efficiency and consistency.
- Supervise, train, and schedule staff to meet performance, safety, and productivity goals, fostering a positive work culture.
- Ensure product quality and food safety compliance, conduct regular checks, and maintain a safe working environment through risk assessments and safety enforcement.
- Manage raw materials, reduce waste, and record production data to support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Proven production/manufacturing experience (Salsa Accreditation Facilities preferred) and food safety standards (HACCP certification advantageous).
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills to thrive in high-pressure environments.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and compliance.
- Excellent organisational abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills.
The Production Manager job is paying £40,000 according to your experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.00am-5.00pm 1 hour break. The site is near New Malden and is commutable from Wimbledon, Brixton, Croydon, Kingston-Upon Thames and Hounslow (London, South-East London).
