About the Stock & Packaging Coordinator job
The purpose of your role will be to ensure stock accuracy, identifying and resolving issues promptly, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key tasks:
- Manage packaging and sundry requirements across the business, maintaining stock levels in line with forecasts and operational needs. Build strong supplier relationships, coordinate packaging samples for new product development, and support environmental compliance reporting.
- Create and manage purchase orders, monitor stock levels, and coordinate regular stocktakes of packaging and consumables. Proactively manage short-dated and at-risk stock while maintaining accurate stock records.
- Process deliveries and goods receipts, ensuring stock is booked in accurately and any discrepancies are communicated promptly. Work closely with Warehouse, Production, Technical and Accounts teams to support efficient operations.
- Approve supplier invoices, support Accounts with administrative tasks and data entry, and manage daily invoicing for key accounts. Ensure all records and processes are maintained accurately and on time.
About You:
- The successful candidate could have previous experience within an FMCG environment or similar, ideally in a stock control, inventory management or product management role.
- You will have strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail, alongside intermediate Excel skills. Good general IT skills are essential, with experience of Dynamics GP or a similar ERP system being advantageous.
- Experience working within stores, warehouse operations or stock management and experience with Valpak would be desirable.
The Stock & Packaging Coordinator job (ref:9075) is paying £30,000 - £32,000 according to your experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm. The site is based near Tonbridge, Kent and is commutable from Hastings, Ashford, Dartford, Redhill and surrounding towns in Sussex and Kent.
