About the NPD Technologist job
The NPD Technologist role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has recently graduated from a food science or related subject or NPD/bakery technologist experience.
Key tasks
- Manage NPD from concept to launch through ideation, leading factory trials and ensuring all products and packaging are feasible within factory capabilities aswell as keeping all supporting documentation regarding food safety logged accurately.
- Lead internal and external tasting panels to assess product quality and work with cross-functional teams to align outcomes with business and consumer expectations as well as conducting kitchen and production trials and ongoing analysis of products.
- Brief and collaborate with suppliers and partners to meet project requirements effectively, maintaining strong communication throughout development.
- Stay informed on trends, consumer behaviour, and new opportunities, while applying a foundational understanding of packaging processes, materials.
About you
- This role would be ideal for a recent graduate in Food Science or Bakery and Patisserie Technology, or for an NPD/Bakery Technologist seeking their next career move.
- You should have a solid understanding of the New Product Development (NPD) process—gained either through a university placement or previous experience in a similar role.

The site is based in Kent and is commutable from Canterbury, Dover, Maidstone, Ashford, Sittingbourne, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Dartford, Hastings, Margate and surrounding areas.
