About the QA Supervisor job

Reporting to the QA Manager and Factory Technical Manager, your role is to lead a small team of QA/QC’s on the nightshift. You will work to maintain food safety, legality, traceability, hygiene, and housekeeping, ensuring any quality issues are resolved promptly.

Key tasks:

  • Oversee daily team operations, provide on-the-job training, conduct performance reviews, and ensure effective interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Ensure products meet specifications, oversee QA checks, manage calibration of equipment, and maintain compliance with safety, hygiene, and industry regulations.
  • Attend production meetings, investigate product issues, circulate shift reports, and ensure accurate labelling, packaging, and sample dispatch for testing.
  • Promote a safe working environment, report hazards, uphold hygiene standards, and represent company values professionally while ensuring legal and quality compliance.

About You:

  • The successful candidate shall have experience of leading a team within a quality assurance role – ideally 2 or more years in food manufacturing.
  • A Food Safety Level 3 qualification and experience of investigating non-conformances within a food environment is required.
  • A drivers license and access to your own transport is absolutely necessary due to the site's location and working the nightshift.

The QA Supervisor job (ref:9062) is paying £35,000 - £37,500, which includes a nightshift allowance. The site is in Berkshire and is commutable from Swindon, Thatcham, Reading, Oxford, Slough and Southampton and other areas of Berkshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire.
