About the Supply Chain Coordinator job

The purpose of your role will be to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the supply chain by managing the purchase of ingredients, packaging and services.

You will work closely with suppliers and teams across the business to maintain stock levels, improve processes, reduce costs and ensure products meet high standards of quality, food safety and compliance.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, solving problems and finding better ways of working.

  • Manage the purchasing of ingredients, packaging and services, while monitoring market trends that affect price, availability and quality to support effective sourcing decisions.

Obtain quotations, negotiate contracts and payment terms, build strong supplier relationships, and encourage supplier diversification to reduce supply risks.

Ensure all sourcing activities are carried out ethically and in line with relevant industry standards.

  • Oversee demand forecasting, inventory and material planning to ensure an efficient supply chain.

Improve supply chain performance by reducing lead times, controlling stock levels and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service levels.

Monitor key performance indicators, support new product development through supply chain planning, and drive improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Always maintain the highest standards of food safety, authenticity, legality and product quality while ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements.

Promptly report any risks or evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification products, equipment, packaging or raw materials to enable immediate corrective action.

  • Build strong working relationships across the business to support company goals.

Lead by example and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying ways to improve quality, efficiency and profitability while promoting teamwork and collaboration.

About You

  • The successful candidate shall have a food science degree or relevant education.
  • Experience within a similar role, ideally food manufacturing or FMCG would be advantageous but not essential.

The Supply Chain Coordinator job (ref:9091) is paying up to £40,000 according to your experience.

The package includes 20 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing by 1 day per completed calendar year up to 25 days + bank holidays, standard company pension.

The site is based in West London and is commutable from Hayes, West Drayton, Slough, Ealing, Greenford, Southall, Uxbridge, Northolt, Hounslow, Feltham, Ruislip and Harrow.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm with a 30min lunch break, one day WFH.
