About the role
The purpose of your role will be to act as the main contact for technical and compliance matters for the retail customers. You will ensure all imported products meet UK legal requirements whilst supporting issue resolution, managing technical administration, and taking part in internal audits.
Key tasks
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers on all technical and compliance matters, delivering clear and professional communication to ensure full alignment on standards, requirements, and expectations.
- Ensure all products meet current UK food legislation, maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date technical information at all times.
- Conduct detailed technical checks of artwork for all UK‑bound products to confirm legal, technical, and customer requirements are fully met before approval.
- Manage and complete all technical and compliance‑related administrative tasks for production sites located outside the UK.
- Support the identification, investigation, and resolution of technical or compliance issues, ensuring they are handled promptly and effectively.
- Play an active role in internal site audits, including preparation, execution, and follow‑up of any required actions.
About you
The successful candidate must have experience within a similar Quality or Technical Management role with a background supplying into the UK retail sector. You will have a strong understanding of retailer codes of practice, relevant food legislation, and customer management. You will be diligent, well‑organised, and able to manage your own workload effectively, with a genuine passion for technical management. An excellent communicator at all levels, both written and verbally.
Compensation and benefits
The role pays £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience. It is a site‑based role located in Wiltshire, commutable from Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Salisbury, Andover, Devizes, Chippenham and surrounding towns. Attendance at the London office one day per week is required. The package includes a Company pension with a 6% employer contribution (STC), 25 days annual leave.
