The purpose of your role will be to focus on ensuring the company meets customer, regulatory, and external accreditation requirements for quality and food safety, maintaining legal compliance, and achieving industry certifications. Act as part of the senior leadership team driving continuous improvement.
Key tasks:- Maintain and develop BRCGS and ensure audit readiness.
- Oversee HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, and the wider Quality Management System.
- Manage supplier approvals, handle any issues or complaints, maintain traceability, and make sure all processes meet high standards for food safety, quality, and sustainability.
- Stay on top of current and emerging legislation, manage labelling and external portals and work with external bodies to ensure the company adapts to any changes in legislation.
- Lead the QA team, deliver training, encourage a strong food safety and health and safety culture, and collaborate across departments.
- Make sure everyone understands and follows quality and regulatory standards while helping drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to operational efficiency, shaping a positive workplace culture, and implementing improvements in quality, safety, and compliance to support the business.
The successful candidate will have experience in food manufacturing, in a Quality Assurance, Technical, or Regulatory at a managerial level. A strong knowledge of BRC, HACCP/TACCP/VACCP principles is essential, with qualifications such as Level 3 Food Hygiene, Auditor training, optional IOSH or Health and Safety.
You shall be skilled in effective team leadership, ongoing coaching, GMP implementation, and regulatory compliance.
