About the Specifications Technologist job:
Reporting to the Senior Technologist, this role is responsible for preparing and submitting external customer specifications and managing artwork processes, including updates to nutrition and packaging data.
- Take full responsibility for preparing, checking, and submitting external customer specifications, including generating and submitting pack copy to meet customer and legal requirements.
- Manage the artwork approval process, ensuring all back-of-pack information is accurate and fully compliant with labelling policies and legislation and meet deadlines to ensure all submissions and artwork are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain all internal and external packaging data, ensuring full compliance with Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting.
- Consistently apply customer technical policies, current labelling standards, and regulatory requirements to all specifications and pack copy to ensure full compliance.
The successful candidate shall ideally have a degree in food science or nutrition. Experience of working with major retailers either in technical administration or specification writing, preferably using FIND, Oracle or an equivalent is essential.

The Part Time Specifications Technologist job (ref:9030) is paying up to £35,000 Pro Rata according to your experience. The package includes 25 days holiday (prorated), pension, free or discounted food. The working hours are 3 days per week (22.5 hours), but this could be 4 shorter days. The site is in South West London and commutable from parts of Surrey and Kent - the role offers hybrid work.
