The purpose of your role will be to lead and develop a team of Quality Auditors to ensure consistent standards and strong performance across all operations. You will oversee supplier quality, investigations, and customer complaints, ensuring issues are effectively resolved.
Key tasks:
- Lead and develop a team of Quality Auditors providing direction, ongoing coaching and structured feedback to drive performance and consistency across all units.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety legislation, continuously improving HACCP systems and maintaining HALAL standards, including preparation for annual certification.
- Plan and manage a comprehensive audit programme covering hygiene, GMP, HACCP, glass and foreign body controls, while liaising with regulatory bodies to remain aligned with current legislation.
- Oversee supplier quality through audits and collaboration with purchasing, ensuring all raw materials meet internal specifications, while managing non-conformance investigations, complaints and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, ensuring all specifications, recipes and procedures are controlled and up to date, while supporting senior leadership with data analysis, quality insights and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
The successful candidate shall have a strong technical background in high-risk environments and/or cook-freeze experience. They will have experience in a similar QA or Technical Management role or be an exceptionally strong Assistant Technical Manager ready to step up, with proven experience leading a HACCP team, managing suppliers, and working with demanding customers in a fast-paced environment. Your experience must include people management or previous experience of leading teams. Experience with GFSI-recognised standards is required such as BRC, FSSC 22000, Salsa etc.
The Quality Assurance Manager job is paying c. £50,000 according to your experience. The working hours are standard office hours with some flexibility. The site is in West London and is commutable from Feltham, Chiswick, Richmond, Southall, Hayes, Hounslow, Harrow, Greenford, Uxbridge, Leatherhead, Guildford, Acton, Maidenhead, Bracknell and surrounding areas.
