Overview Summary
Do you have experience of providing data-focussed Business Analysis expertise, on a Financial Crimes Enhancement project? This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading wealth management company, with the delivery of regulatory requirements and enhancements to client screening and anti-financial crime controls. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in performing gap analysis, implementing data and process changes for client screening and transaction monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Lead data analysis for financial crime data initiatives, including gap analysis of current vs. target state for client screening and transaction monitoring.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define, document, and deliver data corrections, process improvements, and system enhancements to meet regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to investigate data sources, identify impacted records, and design data cleanse, deduplication and data improvement strategies for client screening.
- Participate in project meetings, working groups, and steering committees, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues.
- Support the Project Manager and Programme Manager in resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst on large-scale data or regulatory projects, ideally within financial crime, compliance, or risk management.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data transformation, data migration, data cleanse or data reconciliation.
- Ability to work collaboratively across business and technical teams, managing a varied and changing workload.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, delivery-oriented, and focused on achieving good customer and regulatory outcomes.
- Commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and the values of integrity, curiosity, challenge, and teamwork.
Optional Requirements
- Experience with automated transaction monitoring solutions or similar regulatory technology is highly desirable.
