Do you have experience of providing Data Scientist expertise on an AI/Machine Learning project? This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading Financial Services company, to deliver models, documentation and associated productionised services. The project needs a consultant who has:
- 3-5 years’ experience and can design and develop AI / ML based solutions
- Excellent knowledge of Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) for data wrangling, modelling, and feature engineering
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying structured data sources
- Experience of Model Development & Validation
- Experience of Machine Learning Deployment
Key services: The key services that you will be asked to provide are:
- Design and develop AI / ML based solutions
- Work with other data scientists to build and deploy production-level solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug code
- Work with other teams to understand and solve business problems.
Mandatory Requirements: Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
- Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) for data wrangling, modelling, and feature engineering
- SQL for querying structured data sources
- Model Development & Validation: Experience with classification, unsupervised learning (e.g. outlier detection), and ranking models
- Machine Learning Deployment: Familiarity with containerised deployment (e.g. Podman, SageMaker, DSW pipelines)
- Version Control (Git): To maintain reproducible and collaborative workflows
- Time-Series Analysis: To assess risk trends over financial years
- Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): To spot early signals or risk clusters
- Financial Crime industry experience.
Optional Requirements: It will also be advantageous if you have the following experience:
- Rank Aggregation/Ensemble Techniques: understanding methods like Robust Rank Fusion (RRF)
- Model Explainability Tools: e.g. SHAP, LIME to support interpretability
- Model Monitoring & Drift Detection
- RegTech/FinCrime/Data-led Supervision Projects
- Developing solutions for record linkage and/or network analytics tasks
- Graph query languages (e.g., Gremlin, Cypher), graph database platforms (e.g., Neptune, Neo4j), and/or graph visualisation platforms.
