Do you have experience of providing senior business analysis expertise on complex investment operations change involving new asset classes, asset manager onboarding and risk and control requirements? This consulting opportunity is to support our client in delivering change across end-to-end investment processes, including new asset classes, asset manager onboarding and asset optimisation initiatives. The role will ensure operational processes, risks, governance and controls are effectively designed, assessed and embedded throughout change activity.

The project needs a consultant who has:

  • Strong investment operations knowledge across front, middle and back office processes
  • Experience of operational risk, governance and control requirements within investment change
  • Expertise in process analysis, operating model design and end-to-end process mapping
  • Credibility engaging with Investments, Operations, Risk, Compliance and external partners

Key Services

The key services that you will be asked to provide are:

  • Lead process and operational analysis across Investment Operations change initiatives
  • Map current and future state processes, data flows, risks, controls and dependencies
  • Support new asset class, asset manager onboarding and asset optimisation initiatives
  • Identify and assess operational risks and facilitate appropriate mitigation
  • Analyse data sources to identify data quality issues, discrepancies and operational risk trends
  • Define operational requirements and controls for new asset origination initiatives
  • Assess operational, regulatory and control implications of new asset classes and investment structures
  • Produce high-quality analytical outputs and risk assessments to support decision making

Mandatory Requirements

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Senior business analysis experience within investment or financial services environments
  • Strong understanding of investment products, investment operations, data requirements and internal controls
  • Experience identifying and documenting operational risks and control requirements
  • Experience producing end-to-end process maps and operating model designs
  • Experience in asset onboarding, asset origination, investment operations change or control enhancement
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management capability

Optional Requirements

It will also be advantageous if you have:

  • CBAP or BCS ISEB Business Analysis qualification
  • Investment or financial qualification such as CFA, CAIA, IMC, ACCA or CIM
  • Risk management, operational risk or control-related qualification such as IRM or ICA

Working Pattern: Hybrid - London office two days per week, including Tuesday and one other day

Contract Type: Contract - Inside IR35
