The Opportunity
Working as part of a team this role has the responsibility to evaluate donated stock items to decide if the item should be recycled or re-sold and where it can be re-sold at what price point. The role requires good communication skills, the ability to use initiative and to work at a fast and accurate pace to ensure targets are met and stock is assessed correctly every time. Maximising return on donated items is important in supporting disabled children and their families across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assess suitability of items for sale through evaluation of garment safety, product defects, seasonality and potential value to customer
- Implement the appropriate recycling process where an item is unsaleable
- Assess garment selling price
- Work at pace to ensure targets have been met
- Pre-retail stock in line with retail guidelines
- Ensure stock is de-branded and labelled accurately in accordance with label management guidelines
What We Are Looking For
You will have a passion for fashion and homeware with up-to-date knowledge of current trends and an appreciation for market values. Ideally you have experience working in a warehouse or processing environment, are a great communicator, able to make informed decisions, work on your own initiative and as part of a team, possess strong numeracy skills and can work at pace.
