Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on both small and larger plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine faults efficiently.
  • Attend customer breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Complete safety inspections and ensure machinery complies with relevant legislation and company standards.
  • Accurately complete job sheets, inspection reports and service records using electronic systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked service vehicle.
  • Identify additional repair requirements and report them to the Service Controller.
  • Work closely with the service office to plan daily workloads and respond to emergency call-outs when required.
  • Promote a professional image of B&T Plant Hire Limited at all times.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or Land-Based Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience servicing and repairing construction or plant machinery.
