Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily hiring and off hiring of various plant machinery types and sizes.
- Coordinate plant and equipment availability, scheduling, and dispatch.
- Ensure all hires are processed accurately, including contracts, delivery notes, and returns.
- Monitor equipment utilisation to maximise efficiency and revenue.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries and bookings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
- Provide expert advice on suitable plant and equipment for customer needs.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
Logistics & Coordination
- Plan and coordinate deliveries and collections with drivers.
- Liaise with Service Manager to ensure equipment is hire-ready.
- Work with service manager to ensure efficient turnaround of returned equipment.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections and certifications.
- Help maintain and promote a strong safety culture.
- Monitor hire rates, invoicing, and profitability.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control.
- Ensure all documentation and systems are up to date.
