Join our caring team in Mistley, Manningtree as a Support Worker to make a difference in the life of a lovely lady! She is a bright and lively lady with a big personality. As she is visually impaired, she needs a supportive companion to help her pursue her interests safely in and outside the home.
About the Role
You will work 12 hours per week between the hours of 9am - 1/1.30pm (most shifts being 4/4.5 hours a day with the occasional later shift of 11.15am - 3.45pm) to support this lady in her home and community. Your day may consist of:
- Joining her with the weekly shops to the supermarket
- Assisting with household tasks
- Supporting with the preparation of meals
- Aiding safe travel into the community with assisted walking
- Providing person-centred care to ensure safety and independence
We seek candidates who:
- Are compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting others
- Must be a driver with a full UK driver's license and business insurance
- Have experience in care (preferred but not essential, as full training is provided)
- Are comfortable being around cats and dogs - this lovely lady owns 2 cats and a dog!
