Welcome to Sir Devonshire Square – a bold, beautiful boutique hotel just steps from Liverpool Street Station. We are the UK’s first hotel from Sircle Collection, the Dutch lifestyle brand known for turning up the charm in Europe’s coolest neighbourhoods.

We are now looking for a Senior Sous Chef who leads with confidence, supports the team development, and keeps the kitchen running like clockwork.

Your Role as Senior Sous Chef

  • Take a leading role in setting up the kitchen – from workflow design to food safety and compliance systems

  • Help recruit, onboard, and mentor kitchen team members

  • Guide and support the team during service, stepping in across all sections when needed

  • Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in presentation and quality

  • Uphold the highest hygiene standards and compliance with health and food safety regulations

  • Bring structure, energy, and calm leadership to a fast-paced, evolving environment

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience as a Senior or strong Sous Chef in a quality-led kitchen

  • Operational know-how and confidence to build systems from scratch

  • Calm under pressure, with strong communication and people management skills

  • An organised and reliable leader who takes ownership and leads by example

  • Someone who is hungry to grow into a Head Chef role
