North West (with regional travel) £44,000–£47,000 + package (including vehicle, fuel card, health insurance / cashback for dental + optical, generous holiday allowance & birthday off, overtime and call out opportunities.

You will be trusted to manage your own sites, supported by a knowledgeable technical team, and given the autonomy to work in a way that reflects your experience. The work is varied, predominantly commercial, and carried out for long-standing clients across education, public buildings, manufacturing and similar environments. If you take pride in doing things properly — and representing your company well on site — this will suit you.

What you will be doing:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing on commercial gas plant and appliances
  • Responding to reactive breakdowns and diagnosing faults efficiently and safely
  • Working on commercial boilers, pipework, burners and associated controls
  • Completing gas safety checks and certification accurately and compliantly
  • Supporting installation, testing and commissioning works where required
  • Liaising professionally with clients, site teams and internal colleagues
  • Keeping clear service records and job reports via company systems
  • Participating in a paid standby rota (typically 1 in 7)

What you will need:

  • Proven experience in commercial gas service and maintenance
  • Commercial ACS qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent)
  • Strong experience with force-draught burners (essential)
  • Sound fault-finding and diagnostic capability
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A professional, client-focused approach and good communication skills

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Oil and/or LPG experience
  • Broader HVAC exposure (F-Gas, controls, BMS, etc.)
  • Experience working within structured service or FM environments
