This role sits within B‑Engineering Group, a well-established B-Corp certified building services business with over 35 years of trading history. The company delivers commercial heating and gas services across a broad client base including:

Continued, steady growth has created the need for an additional Senior Commercial Gas Engineer to join a close-knit team of 10 experienced engineers. The majority of work is based across the North West, with realistic travel expectations and no national slog.
This is a hands-on, senior engineering position focused on quality, safety, and professionalism. You’ll be responsible for:
- Planned preventative maintenance of commercial heating and hot water systems
- Fault diagnosis and repair of boilers, burners, water heaters, and associated plant
- Reactive repairs and breakdowns as part of a 1-in-7 on-call rota
- Working independently on site, representing the business professionally with clients
- Adhering to RAMS and site-specific health & safety requirements
This is not a numbers-driven role. Engineers are trusted to do the job properly, with the backing of a supportive technical and operational team.
What we’re looking for
Essential:
- Commercial gas qualifications (COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1 or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 or City & Guilds
- Gas Safe registered (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)
- Minimum 4 years’ commercial gas experience
Experience with:
- Diagnosis and repair of commercial boilers and burners
- Gas-fired water heaters, warm air and radiant heaters
- Working independently without supervision
Desirable (not essential):
- LPG, OFTEC, IPAF, PASMA
- Experience with oil systems
You’ll be someone who communicates well, takes pride in your work, and is open to further training and development.
