Your degree subject doesn’t matter. Your curiosity about AI does. B-Engineering Group is a commercial HVAC and electrical contractor based in the North West. We’re a team of 50, a certified B Corp, and we’ve built our name on doing the job properly, first time. We’ve created a brand-new role. Its purpose is simple: find where AI can save us time and cut admin, then make it happen. What you’ll actually be doing You’ll spend time with our office and operations teams, find out what slows them down, and fix it. That means looking at quoting, scheduling, invoicing, H&S, project management, reporting and customer communications, and asking where AI could do it faster or better. You’ll trial off-the-shelf tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and scheduling software, test them against real problems, and roll out the ones that work. You’ll train everyone, from office staff to engineers on site, to use them with confidence. Then you’ll write the simple guides that make the changes stick. And you’ll keep an eye on what’s new in AI for a trades business, bringing ideas back to the team. This role suits you if: * You’re a recent graduate in any discipline and you’re truly passionate about AI * You already use AI tools in your own life and like working out what they can do * You can explain tech to people who aren’t techy, without talking down to them * You’d rather try something, test it and improve it than wait for perfect * You’re organised, detail-minded and quick to pick up new software This role won’t suit you if: * You want to write code or build models; this is about practical adoption, not development * You’re looking for remote or hybrid working; this role is office-based in Birchwood, five days a week * You need a fixed process handed to you; you’ll be shaping this role yourself * You’d find it frustrating to spend time with engineers and office teams who are busy and need you to earn their buy-in No HVAC, electrical or construction experience needed. We’ll teach you the business. We can’t teach enthusiasm and initiative, so bring those. A full UK driving licence is useful but not essential. What you get * A new role you can shape, with visible impact from day one * Full training and support; this is a learning role, not sink or swim * 32 days’ holiday, including your birthday off * Private medical insurance * Salary sacrifice company pension * Death in service insurance * Employee assistance programme * Casual dress and a friendly, down-to-earth team
