Your Role
Are you an experienced Vascular Access Nurse with a passion for teaching, developing others, and improving patient outcomes? Join B. Braun Medical as a Vascular Access Clinical Educator, where you’ll play a key role in supporting clinicians with the safe and effective use of our innovative Introcan Safety Deep Access longer-length peripheral IV catheters. As a Vascular Access Clinical Educator, you will provide expert clinical support with a dedicated focus on developing the competency of healthcare professionals in performing ultrasound-guided cannulation. You will deliver structured training, support competency sign-off, and help embed evidence-based practice to improve first-time cannulation success and enhance patient care.
Your main responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality theory and hands-on practical training in ultrasound-guided insertion of Introcan Safety® Deep Access longer-length IV catheters
- Support competency assessment, sign-off, and ongoing education
- Promote vessel health and preservation frameworks to reduce unsuccessful cannulation attempts and improve device longevity
- Provide specialist advice on difficult venous access assessment and device selection
- Deliver bedside coaching for clinicians needing additional support
- Assist with developing clinical learning materials
- Provide structured feedback on training progression, clinical insights, and product performance
What you’ll need to succeed:
- NMC Registered Nurse with a post-registration qualification, accredited vascular access training, strong vascular access experience
- Competent in ultrasound-guided cannulation and insertion of long peripheral catheters (e.g., Introcan Safety® Deep Access)
- Experienced in assessing difficult venous access patients and selecting appropriate devices
- Strong knowledge of vascular access devices, ultrasound application, infection prevention, and Vessel Health & Preservation principles
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and clinical assessment skills
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a field-based role
- A flexible working approach, with the ability to deliver early or late education sessions in line with clinical demand
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel regionally/nationally
