Your Role:
Our Transcare Pharmacy team takes pride in providing safe and efficient delivery of homecare products to our patients.
We have a great opportunity for a Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team where you will play a key role in supporting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with the administrative tasks related to prescription management for our homecare patients.
This role offers a variety of responsibilities including picking and dispensing, managing processes related to deliveries, maintaining stock levels, and helping to manage and maintain pharmacy systems and procedures.
This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. You will receive full training and continuous support to help you succeed!

Some of the day-to-day activities include, picking and dispensing our specialised nutrition bags from a chilled store. Our team is made up of Superintendent Pharmacist, Pharmacist, Technicians and Dispensers, so we have a vast pool of knowledge and expertise\".

Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW – located just off Junction 35A of the M1. We offer free car parking, transport links, an on-site canteen serving hot and cold food/drinks.
Working hours : 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The hours will be scheduled on a rota between 07:30-17:30.
Your main responsibilities:
- Pick and accurately dispense pharmacy items.
- Complete patient deliveries: seal boxes, attach delivery notes and complete delivery manifests.
- Arrange dispatch of product with couriers; label products for dispatch as appropriate and hand out product to delivery drivers.
- Ensure patient prescriptions are compliant and uploaded on to the patients profile on the database.
- Carry out daily stock rotations and maintain appropriate stock levels of ambient product.
- S upport the Pharmacy Team Leader with on-going quality improvement e.g. reporting of errors, near -misses, complaints and incidents.
What you need to succeed:
- Have a good standard of education, with GCSE’s (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Be detail focused with the ability to meet daily deadlines.
- Be a strong communicator and work well as a key member of a team.
- Be able to work under pressure and be able to prioritise their workload.
- Experience of working in a dispensary / distribution environment would be desirable.
