Work Flexibly, Care Exceptionally – Join Our Team as a Casual Nurse! We seek a passionate nurse with experience in IV therapy for a flexible shift role with excellent pay. We provide flexible shift opportunities for nurses with current NMC registration and competence in IV therapies. Working in partnership with NHS colleagues you will provide individualized quality nursing care to patients needing Parenteral Nutrition and IV therapies in their homes. As a Casual Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment whilst achieving work‑life balance.
Your main responsibilities:
- Providing individualized quality patient care to home‑care patients in their homes.
- Administering prescribed IV therapies and associated support to patients who can’t achieve independence.
- Providing training and education to support patients/carers in connecting and disconnecting Parenteral Nutrition or using infusion devices and any other prescribed therapies to achieve independence.
What you need to succeed:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Competent in the management and delivery of IV therapies.
- Ability to work alone.
- Ability to make decisions in a clinical emergency.
- Current valid driving licence and own car to travel to patients’ homes.
- Flexibility to travel and visit patients outside the local area.
Hours of work: Monday to Sunday. Nurses work split shifts due to disconnecting patients in the morning and connecting them in the evening. A bank nurse can choose either AM or PM shifts.
Compensation and benefits:
- Pay: £30 per hour weekdays & £35 per hour weekends / bank holidays.
- Travel reimbursements.
