At B. Braun we play a critical part in protecting and improving the lives of patients. We are currently looking for people to work in our Production Unit to help get essential supplies out to our healthcare customers. To meet demand for growth, we are implementing a new shift in our Production Unit. The shift will cover Sunday – Thursday, 37.5 hours a week, 2pm-10pm. There is a requirement to work 2 Saturdays a year in November/December. We work all bank holidays except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. The starting salary is £24,158, increasing up to £25,933 within approx. 12 months, subject to passing different training modules. On top of this, you will receive a shift enhancement after 6pm of time and a third. No experience is required! We will provide full training for the role.
Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW – located just off Junction 35A off the M1. We offer free car parking, transport links, an on-site canteen serving hot and cold food/drinks, career progression and development opportunities.
Here is what you can expect to be doing:
- Producing nutrition bags and pre-filled syringes
- Moving materials to the relevant production area
- Cleaning materials that are required for production
- Preparing documents and labels for the products
- Checking products and materials
- Packing of orders for shipment
- Basic stock control; storage, rotation, replenishing stock and checking stock levels
- Following standard work instructions
- Ensuring operator/environmental plates are stored and incubated correctly at the end of each shift
This shift will also cover:
- Manufacturing pre-filled syringes / low volume syringes after 18:00 to free up cabinet space during the day
- Completing production sessions that are running late, to avoid / minimise the number of bags not made during the day
- Completing prep activities as required
- Cleaning, particularly after weekend maintenance activities, to minimise downtime during the day
- Assisting with maintenance activities that cannot be completed in normal working hours
- Conducting IT transactions on our internal systems, i.e. SAP PP and Sherpa
What you'll need to succeed:
- Able to work on own initiative and within a team
- Pass in Maths and English or the ability to demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to demonstrate safe manual handling
- Able to work accurately and methodically
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
- Committed to Health and Safety procedures
