We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated Driver who excels under pressure and can work independently.
Based at and working from our decontamination facility in Pudsey, the role involves driving a company vehicle to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of surgical and medical equipment to and from hospitals. As these medical devices are used directly on patients, drivers play a crucial role in ensuring items are delivered in a clean, sterile, and safe condition for surgical use.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 14:00-22:00.
The salary for the role is: £23,708 per annum.

Your main responsibilities will be:
- Handling containers of surgically contaminated goods.
- Lifting and moving of theatre instrument trolleys, trays and other containers periodically throughout the shift.
- Driving and operating the vehicle within the law.
- Ensuring accurate records are maintained in relation to vehicle movements, servicing, and non-conformance of transported stock etc.
- Establish and maintain effective communication links within the team and other healthcare professionals.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proven experience in transporting goods via van or truck between various locations or facilities.
- Strong knowledge of local transport routes and the ability to handle any challenges that may occur during the delivery of goods.
- Able to work in a methodical manner with attention to detail.
- Adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the business.
- Ability to learn and follow set routines and procedures.
