Your Role

We are looking for a Production Technician to provide a reliable and efficient aseptic manufacturing service, ensuring that all products are produced in line with current GMP guidelines. This role involves providing support and supervision to production operators, carrying out production checks, and ensuring that high standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Details

  • Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW – located just off Junction 35A of the M1. We offer free car parking, transport links, an on-site canteen serving hot and cold food/drinks.
  • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. There is a requirement to work 2 mandatory Saturdays a year.
  • Shift Pattern: 10am-6pm

Your main responsibilities

  • Production checking, ensuring all BMR’s and related production documents are completed prior to quality release and all manufactured items have been visually inspected.
  • Provide a reliable and efficient aseptic manufacturing service production check of items made, working within current GMP guidelines.
  • Identification, investigation and documentation of deviations and reporting of errors.
  • Provide support and supervision to Production Operators ensuring that standards are maintained throughout the production process and that products are made to the required specification.

What you need to succeed

  • Applicants must hold one of the following: BTEC Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science and NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services registered with the GPhC, BTEC Level 3 in Science Manufacturing Technician registered with the Science Council, or a relative science qualification to degree level where you can be registered with the Science Council.
  • Have the ability to concentrate for long periods of time and to work effectively independently.
  • Have the ability to work to a high level of accuracy and good attention to detail in a busy environment.
  • Able to provide support and direction to the team.
