Your Role
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in Health and Safety. Whether you have some experience or are completely new to the field, we’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed. Key Details
Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW – located just off Junction 35A of the M1. We offer free car parking, transport links, an on-site canteen serving hot and cold food/drinks.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of our ISO 45001-certified Health & Safety Management System, including policies, procedures, training materials, databases, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR and Occupational Health to manage vaccination and health surveillance requirements.
- Deliver H&S inductions and support area-specific safety meetings and tours.
- Help plan and take part in regular safety walkarounds, ensuring any issues are followed up with clear action plans and tracked through key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop dashboards, reports, and communication tools to promote best practices.
What You Need To Succeed
- A genuine interest in health and safety and a willingness to undertake relevant training.
- Excellent communication skills with people at all levels.
- Accurate and methodical with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Experience in using computer systems and familiar with Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- While experience in health and safety practices such as risk assessments, accident investigations, or audits – as well as relevant qualifications – would be an advantage, they are not essential. We’re happy to provide full training and ongoing support to a candidate who shows a strong willingness to learn and develop in the role.
