What are we looking for?
An experienced UX Designer, who is looking for the next step in their career. We are seeking a self-motivated and proactive candidate with excellent communication skills and attention to detail, who is not afraid to voice their opinions and challenge others.
About the role
This is a rare opportunity to help deliver the roadmap for a new digital dining platform that will power well-loved brands who serve over 20 million meals to customers up and down the country every year. As the sole UX Designer for the group, you’ll take the lead and own the end to end strategy and lead on design decisions. We’re looking for someone who is excited about building the platform and growing alongside it. Working with our engineering teams, you’ll be accountable for designing great customer experiences across our unified digital dining platform, ensuring ease of use for both customers and team members.
Day to day, this will look like:
- Conceptualising user experiences for new product features and redesigning existing ones.
- Turning feature requirements into user journeys and wireframes into clickable prototypes.
- Building and maintaining the design system.
- Leading our onboarding experimentation.
- Conducting user engagement surveys.
- Contributing to the maintenance of our UX personas.
- Conducting some usability testing and customer interviews.

Here’s more detail on the day to day:
- Build and own a UX strategy that allows the business to make quick and informed decisions, to reduce cost and labour maintaining multiple systems and creating consistency across our products.
- Conduct all stages of UX research using the Double Diamond methodologies: identifying, planning, driving, conducting, analysing, and reporting out insights.
- Collaborate with the Senior Product Manager and engineers on a wide array of research projects.
- Use a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods to apply to research questions.
- Adoption of qual and quant feedback from channels such as Hotjar, GA4 and Smartlook.
- Share research insights in creative ways to increase empathy.
- Produce research insights that result in impact.
- Designing new UX prototypes, using tools such as Figma, Sketch and the Adobe Suite, to solve the needs of customers and Azzurri group.
- Collaborate with Engineers to bring wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes to live production and that you know how to iterate throughout a product’s lifecycle.
- Building deep and trusting relationships and creating compelling communications with diverse groups of teammates and stakeholders.
- Run collaborative workshops and discovery sessions that are data led, prepared and create a compelling environment for stakeholders to contribute that achieve a positive impact.
