The Azure Charitable Foundation's Employment Services department is recruiting a member of our team to work with economically inactive clients with disabilities, including those with neuro‐diverse conditions, across the North East Combined Authority area (Northumberland, North Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead, South Tyneside, Sunderland, County Durham). The role focuses on improving employability and supporting clients to move closer to and into sustainable employment where appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients to fill full‐time positions, assist them in understanding and applying for opportunities, and help them transition into work.
  • Source work placements, employment and training opportunities by engaging with employers and other organisations.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring timely progress and support.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping, manage petty cash float and ensure compliance with organisational procedures.

Required skills and attributes

  • High energy and enthusiasm for supporting people with disabilities on their journey towards employment.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in approaching employers and organisations.
  • Ability to adapt and flexibly respond to client needs.
  • Strong time‐management skills and organisational ability.

Requirements

  • A full UK or EU/EEA driving licence (maximum 6 points) and access to a car is required for this position.
