Azura are exclusively partnering an international film and TV business to hire a Group Finance Director. This is a core leadership and management role, responsible for directing a large team and driving a variety of transformational projects and operational improvements. The Group Finance Director will report into the Group CFO and own responsibility for the Group finance function, helping to set the strategy and drive the financial vision.

  • Members of the Audit Committee
  • External Auditors
  • Key Advisors

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a domestic and international team of 50 accountants, helping to support, lead and develop the function
  • Driving process improvement and efficiencies
  • Responsible for all group financial reporting, including the Annual Report
  • Own the annual audit process
  • Oversee technical accounting requirements
  • Work closely with FP&A teams to drive improvements in budgeting, forecasting and analysis
  • Set the agenda for Management Information and ensure the processes are in place to give business leaders the information they require to make decisions
  • Oversight of specialist functions including tax and treasury
  • Own the rolling monthly cash flow forecast for the group with a focus on international subsidiaries
  • Responsible for a smooth month‑end process, Board report, review of balance sheet and FP&A
  • Ad‑hoc projects work as required
  • Be the group finance representative for a global ERP implementation

Person Profile:

  • ACA qualified accountant with top 6 training
  • 15 years’+ experience, including tenure as a Group Financial Controller or Group Finance Director
  • Experience producing consolidated financial statements for an international business
  • Ideally worked in a private‑equity backed environment with an understanding of reporting to investors
  • Experience overseeing specialist finance areas including tax and treasury
  • Strong technical skills
  • Experience working with M&A, refinancing and carve‑outs
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Strong people leader with a track record of mentorship and development
